First of all, Happy 2015! I don't know about you, but I was pretty ready for this year and by that I mean the first time I wrote the date on something I wrote "15" without any reminders or erasers.
For those of you who don't know, there's nothing I despise more in my life than change. It's probably my love of order and planning hat this comes from, but there is nothing that will get me more upset than change.
2015 will bring plenty of changes and hardships and to be completely honest, I'm terrified. It's comfortable for me to never experience change, but then again, there's no growth.
Last night I experienced on of my first of many changes. My new church family. Last night was my first night teaching for my new church's children's ministry program. For me, it was a huge change. Going from teaching on Sunday mornings, to Saturday nights as well as a class of 24 - 30 to a class of eight is a huge change.
The biggest realization I had after coming home from teaching last night was change doesn't have to be a bad or scary thing, it can be a time of learning and trusting on the One who has it all in His hands.
Now where does the Dairy Queen part come in? Well, I decided to celebrate this new change in my life with their blizzard of the month. Birthday Cake Oreo. Sounds great right? Well, I'll give it a five.
So I guess you could say my New Year's Resolution is to embrace change and to try the blizzard of the month at DQ each month.
Who said all New Year's Resolution have to be completely sacrificial?
Sister in Christ,
Carrie
